We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring set with Quartz Polki-style stones backed in silver foil in the Kundan tradition. The central floral arrangement features uncut-diamond-look stones that catch light with a warm, diffused lustre. The blue colourway is defined by a central blue-toned stone surrounded by ivory-toned foil-set stones. The overall form is compact and wearable, suited to both festive and heritage-casual occasions.
