We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated Gajra/Gokhru bangle set with Quartz Polki stones using the Kundan silver-foiling technique, accented by AAA zircons. The band is available in four colourways - Dark Green, Baby Pink, Dark Pink, and Purple - each rendered through coloured foil work within the Kundan setting. The screw fastening allows for a secure, adjustable fit. The overall character is that of a bridal-weight statement bangle drawing from the Polki tradition of Rajasthan.
