We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated bangle pair from the Polki/Moissanite collection, set with Quartz Polki stones using the Kundan technique of silver foiling beneath each stone to impart a regal lustre. Additional AAA zircons accent the setting. The Dark Green colourway features a deep jewel-toned enamel or stone accent; the Multicolor variant presents a combination of coloured stones across the surface. The screw fastening allows the bangle to be worn securely.
