We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated dangler earring pair set with Quartz Polki stones in the Kundan tradition, each stone foil-backed to replicate the lustre of uncut polki. The piece carries floral motifs and is available in Dark Pink, Baby Pink, and Blue colourways, each distinguished by the colour of the accent stones. The silhouette is compact and pendant-drop in character, suited to both festive and occasion wear.
