We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ear cuff styled in the Polki tradition, featuring faux uncut-diamond-look stones set in silver-foiled Kundan technique. The multicolor colourway incorporates faceted zircon accents alongside the central Polki-look stones, with a mango or paisley-form outline visible in the setting arrangement. The push-back fastening makes it suitable for everyday heritage wear as well as festive occasions.
