We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated princess-length necklace set in which uncut Quartz Polki stones are secured by silver foiling in the Kundan tradition, giving each piece its characteristic lustre. Faceted zircon accents frame the focal stonework, and a flower motif forms the pendant centrepiece. The collection spans six colourways - white, blue, dark green, baby pink, dark pink, and multicolor - each achieved through tinted foil work within the Kundan setting. The matching push-back earrings echo the pendant's form, and the necklace fastens with a hook closure.
