We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated pendant-style necklace set featuring Quartz Polki stones set in a silver-foiled Kundan base, rendered in multiple colourways - Blue, Firoza, Dark Green, Baby Pink, Orange, Maroon, Purple, and Light Green. The focal pendant carries a floral motif framed by the characteristically opaque, uncut-diamond-look stones. The necklace fastens with a hook closure; earrings carry push-back fittings. The coloured stones visible in each variant appear to be silver-foiled Kundan rather than fired enamel.
