We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated layered necklace set in the Quartz Polki tradition, featuring uncut-diamond-look stones set in silver-foiled Kundan technique alongside AAA zircon accents and dark green stone highlights. The necklace is composed of multiple strands that together create a long, haram-style silhouette, finished with strung pearl-like beads. The earrings echo the central stonework motif. The set fastens at the necklace with an adjustable thread/dori tie.
