We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated choker necklace set in dark green, featuring uncut Quartz Polki stones set in the Kundan technique with silver foiling, paired with AAA zircon accents. Floral motifs punctuate the necklace face, with the coloured stone or foil work lending a rich, layered visual character. The necklace fastens with an adjustable thread/dori tie, and the earrings carry push-back fastenings. The deep green colourway gives the set a formal, festive presence.
