We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated princess necklace set in the Polki/Moissanite tradition, featuring faux uncut-diamond-look stones set in silver-foiled Kundan technique. The necklace is composed of floral clusters arranged across a graduated princess silhouette, with coloured Kundan accents in the variant colourway. Each set includes a matching pair of push-back earrings. The necklace fastens with a hook closure.
