We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring centred on a large oval Quartz Polki stone set in silver-foiled Kundan technique, encircled by a cluster of smaller Kundan-set stones in a floral arrangement. The open-back band makes the ring suitable for a range of finger sizes. Available in dark pink, dark green, and multicolour colourways, each offering a distinct tonal character within the same silhouette.
