We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring from the Quartz Polki range, set with a central uncut-diamond-look Quartz Polki stone held in silver-foiled Kundan setting and framed by AAA zircon accents. The ring is offered in five colourways - White, Blue, Dark Green, Light Green, and Maroon - each distinguished by the colour of its focal stone. Floral detailing in the mount is visible across colourways. The silhouette is compact and wearable, suited to both festive and everyday-heritage occasions.
