We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated bangle combining fired green enamel work with Quartz Polki stones set in the Kundan technique using silver foiling beneath each stone. The deep green enamel ground provides a vivid contrast to the lustrous, uncut-diamond-look focal stones arranged across the bangle's face. A screw fastening secures the piece at the wrist. The deliberate fusion of Meenakari enamel and Kundan stone-setting places this bangle within the Mishr tradition.
