We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated princess-length necklace set featuring Quartz Polki stones set in the Kundan tradition with silver foiling, accented by AAA zircon detailing. The colourway presents a deep green palette, conveyed through the stone selection and setting. The set includes one necklace and one pair of earrings; the necklace fastens with an adjustable thread/dori tie. The overall character is bridal-weight and richly layered in the Rajput Polki tradition.
