We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated layered necklace set from the Polki/Moissanite collection, featuring Quartz Polki stones set in the Kundan tradition with silver foiling to replicate the lustre of uncut diamonds. Dark green coloured Kundan elements and peacock motif detailing are visible throughout the piece. The necklace fastens with an adjustable thread/dori tie, and the accompanying earrings feature push-back fastenings. The overall composition reads as a statement layered haram with pendant elements.
