We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring from the Quartz Polki line, featuring uncut-diamond-look stones set in the Kundan tradition with silver foiling beneath each stone to lend depth and lustre. The ring is presented in a dark green colourway, with floral motifs visible in the stone arrangement. The overall character is delicate yet ornate, suited to both festive and heritage-occasion dressing.
