We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated Gajra/Gokhru bangle featuring Quartz Polki-look stones set in the Kundan technique, with silver foiling beneath each stone to lend depth and lustre. The multicolor stone arrangement follows a floral and geometric pattern across the bangle surface. The piece fastens with a screw closure and is sold as a single piece. It sits within the Polki/Moissanite lineage, drawing on the Rajput tradition of uncut-stone Kundan setting.
