We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated long necklace set in the Quartz Polki tradition, featuring uncut-diamond-look stones set with silver foiling in the Kundan manner. The necklace terminates in tassel drops, and the set includes a pair of matching earrings with push-back fastenings. The colourway combines dark pink and mother-of-pearl tones across the stonework and pendant elements. The necklace fastens with an adjustable thread/dori tie.
