We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated princess necklace set featuring uncut-look Quartz Polki stones set in the Kundan tradition with silver foiling beneath, producing the characteristic lustre of regal Polki work. The piece works across a multicolor palette with dark green as the dominant colourway, complemented by coordinating earrings. Geometric and floral frameworks organise the stone-set panels across the necklace body. The necklace fastens with an adjustable thread/dori tie; the earrings carry push-back fastenings.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0473/3314/6791/files/PK-S422GR-2_5b0612cb-ca86-4638-b25d-87cbfee97a51.jpg?v=1771403238
