We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A dark green Quartz Polki bangle set in the Kundan tradition, where uncut Quartz Polki stones are secured with silver foiling to replicate the lustre of regal Polki jewellery. Faceted AAA zircons frame the central stonework, adding brightness to the deep green ground. The bangle closes with a screw mechanism and is finished in Victorian silver plating. Offered as a single piece in sizes 2.2, 2.4, and 2.6.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0473/3314/6791/files/PK-BAN6GR_1_af837cf1-5882-45db-8ed1-271ec2ea6cba.jpg?v=1720877734
