We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated bangle with large oval Quartz Polki stones arranged in a row, each framed by a border of smaller silver-foiled Kundan stones. The screw-fastening construction allows the bangle to be worn and removed with ease. The gold-plated base carries fine textural detailing between the stone clusters, lending the piece a quietly regal character consistent with the Polki tradition of Rajasthan.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0473/3314/6791/files/PK-BRAC17_2_1a548e8f-836f-4bed-97e5-478c6bc6e59c.jpg?v=1720877806
