We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A circular stud earring featuring a large oval faux-Polki focal stone in deep maroon, set within a silver-toned gold-plated frame edged with a halo of small faceted zircon stones. The piece has a clean, minimal silhouette with the uncut-look central stone as the sole decorative focus. The silver-finish plating gives the earring a cooler, understated character suited to both festive and statement-evening wear.
