We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring set featuring three stone stations - an oval faux-Polki centre, a pear-shaped faux-Polki drop, and a small flower cluster - each anchored in Kundan-style silver-foiled settings. Seed pearl accents ring the oval station and form the flower cluster petals, adding a soft textural contrast to the uncut-diamond-look stones. The ring band is a slim open arc in warm gold-plated metal. The overall character is delicate yet structured, suited to both festive and bridal-trousseau wear.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0473/3314/6791/files/PK-R17_5d73918e-7e1d-483c-aa80-58b63ed4fafa.jpg?v=1719920055
