We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring featuring a central floral cluster in the Quartz Polki idiom - uncut-diamond-look stones set using the Kundan technique with silver foiling beneath each stone to replicate the lustre of traditional Polki work. The white-toned stone cluster is arranged in a lotus-form composition, mounted on a plain gold-plated shank. The piece reads as a clean, focused statement ring suited to festive and heritage dressing.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0473/3314/6791/files/PK-R35_dd19144f-e8f2-445d-9872-c09c89ef8394.jpg?v=1736315498
