We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring set with uncut-diamond-look Quartz Polki stones in a Kundan-style silver-foil setting. The face of the ring features a floral arrangement of these off-white stones, giving the piece the textural depth characteristic of traditional Polki jewellery. The overall finish is warm gold-plated with white stones, lending it a quiet, regal presence suitable for festive and bridal occasions.
