We set these lab-created stones in gold-plated metalwork, keeping the craft and the look while naming the material honestly, as accessible luxury.

Traditional Polki set uncut, unfaceted diamonds in gold foil, prized for a soft brilliance rather than cut sparkle; the setting itself became a Bengali speciality, the karigars of Kolkata among its finest hands. Mortantra keeps that setting craft intact and chooses moissanite - lab-created and responsibly made - to carry the same light. We say so plainly: the tradition lives in the setting, and the brilliance is real.

THE PIECE
A gold-plated ring from the Quartz Polki line, set with uncut-diamond-look stones in a silver-foiled Kundan base. The white colourway presents a clean, bright stone face against the warm gold-plated framework. The setting follows the traditional Kundan technique, with silver foiling beneath each stone to enhance luminosity. A single-piece ring suited to heritage-inflected everyday or festive wear.
